That was it! Whenever you crave for a couple of slices, remove just as much as you can eat from the bag and leave them at room temperature, until they soften up, or toast them (maybe you need to give them an extra round in the toaster, which you can experiment with). Don’t forget to reseal the bag and to put it back to the freezer with the other slices. With this technique, the bread slices will stay fresh for months (half a year maximum) and their texture and taste (especially toasted) is almost as good as on the second day when you prepared them.
