3. Chop Down The Roots
Line up the leeks on the cutting board and with one simple and firm chop, get rid of the root ends just a half an inch over them. If you can see on the cut that there is still some woody parts left inside, cut off a bit more repeating this step. You can easily trim 6-7 leeks at the same time using this simple tip in practice.
