5. Add Water Regularly As The Onions Start To Get Brown
When the onions start to get brown and try to stick to the bottom of the pan, scrape them up (also only let them get caramelized and brown, but not burnt). Add a spoon of water regularly when then get dry and move them to help the process. When they have shrunk quite a lot and got nice and brown caramel coloured, remove the frying pan from the stove, and add some more seasoning if you like. We recommend balsamic vinegar as this gives the onions a nice glaze, irresistible smell and is also great to take their sweet taste to the next level.
