2. Cut The Skin In Slightly

Cut around the pomegranate by slightly scoring the skin. This is important not just to help you opening up the fruit in a not so destructive way and also to keep as many seeds whole as possible without making a mess. By simply halving, or quartering the pomegranate you can be sure at least the cutting board is going to be covered in red juice.
